Convert JSON to YAML online with clean indentation and instant validation, right in your browser
Keep strings distinct from numbers in YAML
Frequently Asked Questions: When do strings need quoting in the YAML output?
The code "001" stays a string, false stays a boolean, and null stays null. Indentation changes the layout, not these values. Keys, arrays and nested objects are serialized from the parsed JSON; comments cannot be recovered because JSON has no comments.
JSON is parsed with JavaScript JSON.parse. Numbers beyond the safe integer range can lose precision: use quoted strings for identifiers. This converter does not evaluate templates or test a Kubernetes, Compose or other application-specific configuration.
Input
{"code":"001","enabled":false,"items":[1,null]}Formatted Output
code: '001' enabled: false items: - 1 - null
